Welcome to the web site of the Citizens Advice Service in the Borough of Wigan. We offer a Confidential, Free, Independent and Impartial Advice Service and our website is designed to help you access these services. There is no limit to the number of times you can use our services, whether on the same issue, or a number of different ones. You do not have to provide your name and address if you wish to remain anonymous. However, if you leave these details, the advisor will make confidential notes (which you can ask to see at any point). This means if you return for further advice, you will not have to repeat everything again.
The simplest way to obtain advice, is to either telephone us or call at one of our drop-in Advice Centres in Leigh and Wigan. Alternatively, you could access our on-line Advice Guide.
Other advice services are also available. Some can be contacted directly (e.g. Asylum Team, Paveways Disability Helpline, Financial Literacy) whilst others must be accessed through the telephone or drop-in services in the first instance (e.g. Legal Help Team, Appointments, Community Outreach and Home Visiting) If we cannot help you, we will refer you to someone who can.
If English is not your first language, we have access to those who can help.
