-
To ensure that local people do not suffer through a lack of information or advice, and to undertake social policy work on the issues that are important to them
-
To be an inclusive an outward looking organisation that welcomes social diversity and actively seeks to promote social inclusion through partnership working and capacity building in the community
Our service is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities in all aspects of our work and to opposing discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual identity, life style, disability or other identity issues.
Some weeks after a client had advised her employers that she was expecting a child, they told her that she was being made redundant. This was despite the recruitment of another staff member to her section. We gave the client assistance to make a claim for discrimination and unfair dismissal.
